The Wild Life game is an adult open-world action RPG built in Unreal Engine by the Berlin studio Candy Valley Network. Today you can only play it through Patreon crowdfunding builds; the Steam 1.0 release is set for February 8, 2027 at $40, Windows only. This page covers what the project is, how to get it now and what the 1.0 will include.

In short
Wild Life was founded by the creator known as Adeptus Steve and is now developed and self-published by Candy Valley Network GmbH, an independent studio in Berlin. The team says the project has been crowdfunded for almost ten years, and that its community is the reason it exists.
It is set on Kerpal, an alien planet of forests, grasslands, beaches, canyons, deserts, caves and ruins. The Steam page is an adult-only listing, and its content notes are clear: all characters in sexual content are adults, there are no child NPCs or look-alikes, and no non-consensual interactions.
Because 1.0 is not out, this is a preview based on the developer's official pages, not a verdict on a finished product.
The developer describes a true open world: follow the main story, take side quests, or explore and get lost. The pieces fit together like this:
These are two separate experiences. The 1.0 launch is the story-driven RPG only. The Sandbox is a creative mode developed with the community during crowdfunding: build custom maps, customize characters and create interactive scenes. It will follow later in 2027 as free DLC for everyone who owns the game, after its own polishing phase, and will include all the Sandbox content made up to its release.
Max leaves the slums of his homeworld to join the Wildfires, and his first mission lands him on Kerpal. What should be a routine deployment pulls him into conflicts between Kerpali tribes, human settlers, hostile factions and new off-world forces, and into the mystery around Maya, her abilities and a Kerpali curse.
The studio says adult content is part of character stories and the world rather than a separate mode: some relationships develop across the story, others are brief or hidden off the beaten path. Recent development updates mention questlines such as Maya retrieving a legendary blade and Max earning a place in a pigman gang, which gives a sense of the tone: serious fantasy with a sense of humour.
It aims for the look of a modern 3D action RPG: detailed characters, large natural landscapes and dense foliage. The official key art shows a Kerpali character in a feathered headdress against a desert, and the weekly updates talk about set dressing passes, foliage detail and landscape shadows. We have no approved screenshots of current builds yet, so we will add them once the 1.0 store assets are final.
There are two official routes:
Supporters who have reached at least $40 in lifetime crowdfunding support can request a copy of 1.0; the studio says it will explain the process in a separate post. There is no Mac or Linux version listed. Our explainer on how adult game Patreon releases work covers the crowdfunding model in general.
| Minimum spec (Steam) | Requirement |
|---|---|
| OS | Windows 10, 64-bit |
| Processor | AMD Ryzen 5 2600 |
| Memory | 8 GB RAM |
| Graphics | GeForce GTX 1060 |
| DirectX | Version 11 |
| Storage | 25 GB |
That is a high bar for an adult game, closer to a mainstream 3D RPG.
No. Right now the builds are a reward for crowdfunding support, and 1.0 will be a one-time purchase:
| Option | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Patreon support | Tier prices not verified | Pre-release crowdfunding builds |
| Steam 1.0 (Feb 8, 2027) | $40 (announced) | The full story game |
| Sandbox DLC (later 2027) | Free for owners | The creative sandbox mode |
Does Wild Life have microtransactions? According to the developer, no, and none are planned after release.
Only from official sources: the project's Patreon today and Steam from February 2027. Leaked builds on other sites are unofficial and can contain anything. Our guide on whether Steam adult games are safe explains what to look for.
The studio posts development updates on Steam every Friday. Its "Road to Wild Life 1.0" post (September 4, 2026) set out the plan:
Is the Wild Life demo still on Steam? No. The old demo, based on a 2022 crowdfunding build, was removed on September 11, 2026, and no other demo is planned.
The Wild Life release date for 1.0 is February 8, 2027, on Steam. The developer says there will be no Early Access and no pre-orders.
The developer has announced $40 USD. That includes the Sandbox, which follows later in 2027 as a free DLC.
Only through the project's Patreon, which gives supporters pre-release crowdfunding builds. The Steam demo was removed on September 11, 2026.
A separate creative mode for building maps, customizing characters and creating interactive scenes. It will be free for owners, later in 2027.
No. Steam lists Windows 10 64-bit only.

On paper, this is the most ambitious project in adult gaming: a handcrafted open world, real-time combat and relationships that change quests. After years of crowdfunding it finally has a firm date and a simple $40 price with no microtransactions. Until February 2027 it remains a promise, so we will review the finished game at launch.
