The strongest adult games on itch.io right now are Eternum, Harem Hotel and Once in a Lifetime, all free on their developers' official pages, with Karryn's Prison and HARDCODED leading the paid side. Below are 12 games with official itch.io pages, with what each itch version costs and how it compares with the same game elsewhere.
This list has one hard rule: the game must have an official itch.io page run by its developer, and we checked each one on September 30, 2026. Fan uploads and re-hosts do not count.
Within that pool we ranked by the game itself, then by how good the itch version is: a free, current, multi-platform build with clear version numbers beats a paid page or an outdated one.
What we left out and why. Being a DIK and Acting Lessons have no official itch.io page (Dr PinkCake sells them on Steam and GOG). Milfy City has no official itch page either; the itch.io posts that use its name are third-party. Summertime Saga is distributed from its own official site. Lust Theory's official site mentions itch.io, but we could not verify the listing, so it stays off until we can.
Eternum is the best argument for itch.io as a home for adult games. Caribdis puts every public build on the itch page for free, on all four platforms, and Patreon and SubscribeStar supporters simply get each version earlier.
It is a linear, choice-based visual novel with a VR-game mystery at its center and the easiest recommendation here for newcomers. The catch: it is unfinished, and releases have been roughly yearly lately (0.9 arrived in January 2026). Our full Eternum review covers the story and builds in detail.
Harem Hotel is one of the most-rated games on this list, with 4.8 out of 5 from more than 8,600 ratings on itch.io when we checked. It is free, and the page cites 1,140+ events and 35,000+ images across 18 characters. Hotel upgrades, stats and training systems give it more structure than a pure visual novel.
One itch-specific detail: the downloads are external links from the itch page, not files hosted on itch (our itch.io download safety guide explains what to check). Themes include training and dominance.
This is Caribdis's first game, and it has something most free itch.io adult games do not: an ending. Version 1.0 came out in July 2021, it is free on all four platforms, and you can finish it in several hours without waiting on anyone's release schedule. It mixes comedy, romance and a supernatural small-town mystery, with choices deciding which ending you reach.
Players often say it is shorter and less polished than Eternum. We still think it is the best "free and finished" pick on itch.io, and a good test of Caribdis's style before the longer Eternum. Both are on our Caribdis developer page. One content note: some endings include family-relationship themes.
A House in the Rift shows the three-tier model you will meet a lot on itch.io. When we checked, the free public build was 0.8.12, the paid Premium version on itch was at 0.8.14, and Patreon early access had 0.8.15. The free build is simply a couple of versions behind, which is a fair deal.
It is a sandbox-style visual novel set in a house shared with a succubus, with 200+ story events, monthly updates and 4.7 out of 5 from 2,864 itch ratings. The downsides are file size (11 GB for PC and Mac) and, per a common community complaint, sandbox navigation that makes it easy to lose track of what to do next.
The best paid game on this list, in our view, and a rare adult RPG where the systems are the point. Remtairy sells it on itch at the same $29.99 as Steam. Every adult scene happens inside the turn-based battle system, and the Edicts layer turns prison policy into a management game. The developer says it is now mostly finished apart from bug fixes.
Which store? Both builds are Windows-only with gamepad support. Steam adds Workshop, Cloud saves and achievements; itch gives you a direct download from the developer's page. Be aware that corruption and dubious-consent themes are central, and players often mention a steep learning curve. Our Karryn's Prison review has the full breakdown.
HARDCODED is the clearest pay-what-you-want example here: the itch.io page sets a $16.99 minimum, the same as the Steam price, and lets you pay more if you want to. It is finished (November 2024) and feels at home on itch.io: a pixel-art cyberpunk city, a female android protagonist, a queer detective gang, and writing the developer describes as largely about the trans experience of transition.
It is an open-world dating sim with no relationship meter to grind, plus outfits, apartment decorating and "duo paths" that combine two characters' stories. Content is very explicit and includes BDSM and self-harm themes.
Treasure of Nadia is paid on itch.io, but NLT Media keeps a separate free demo page there for testing the puzzle-heavy exploration first. The itch page is also the official home of the Android build; Steam covers Windows, Mac and Linux only.
The common complaint is backtracking between quest steps, and some puzzles are hard without a guide. Our Treasure of Nadia review goes deeper, and the NLT Media profile lists the studio's other games.
Here is the itch.io page to treat as a sampler, not a store. PhillyGames offers only Chapters 1-4 (version 0.4.2) on itch, as name-your-own-price, while the complete story (Book One plus the Book Two DLC, 15 chapters) is sold on Steam.
That still makes it a great first look: a bounty hunter in a future Los Angeles, with a hidden anger stat that quietly changes dialogue. If the first four chapters land, buy the full version on Steam. The itch page has no Mac or Android build.
Innocent Witches is an adult parody of a famous wizard-school setting, played as an old-school point-and-click adventure with inventory puzzles, visual-novel scenes and sandbox chapters. Its itch.io page asks that any purchase be treated as a tip: the free public build is on the developer's official site, which also offers a browser version.
It is one of the most actively developed games here (devlog posts roughly every 10 days in 2026), and the page states no generative AI was used. The catch: supporter builds run well ahead of the public one (0.12.1 vs 0.11.6), and players often say the puzzles are obscure without the official wiki. Themes include corruption, BDSM and humiliation; all characters are presented as adults.
NLT Media's earlier game is paid with a separate free demo page, and its itch.io page lists Windows, macOS, Linux and Android, while the Steam build is Windows and Mac only. Linux and Android players have a clear reason to buy it on itch.
It is a mystery on a storm-trapped campus, smaller in scope than Nadia, with backtracking as the usual complaint, but the horror-tinged setting gives it more atmosphere.
Taffy Tales Redux is a from-scratch remake of UberPie's long-running Patreon game, in pixel art, and it is split into seasons. On itch.io each season is $25.00, and Season 1 (the Community Edition) appears to be sold only on itch, while Steam sells Season 2 at $24.99. Free demos exist on both stores. If you want to start at the beginning, itch.io is currently where you go.
We rank it lower because Steam reviews are Mixed (199), fans of the original are divided over the rewrite, and the itch.io pages disclose AI-assisted graphics, which some players dislike.
Seeds of Chaos closes the list as a "check the upload date" pick. It is a dark-fantasy visual-novel RPG with castle management, still in Early Access, and version 0.9.1 (August 2026) added a proper ending. The itch.io page lists Windows, macOS, Linux and Android, which is broader than Steam (Windows and Linux). But the itch devlog stops around version 0.2.63 while Steam's announcements are current, so confirm which build the itch page offers before you pay.
It also carries the heaviest content warnings on this page, including NTR, sexual violence, dubious consent and suicide. Many players will want to skip it for that reason alone.

Free public build, paid early access is the most common model for episodic games: you get the whole game free, just later than supporters. Our guide to Patreon releases explains the tiers.
Among pay-what-you-want adult games on itch.io, name your own price accepts $0, while a minimum price (like HARDCODED's) is a normal paid game that lets you tip on top.
Demos often live on a separate page, so check the developer's itch profile if the main page has no free file.
These are regular prices seen on September 30, 2026; sales change them, so the itch page is the final word.
How to find NSFW games on itch.io: visibility and age gates
If you have struggled to find these games by browsing, that is by design: porn games on itch.io stay out of browse and search until you opt in. Step-by-step instructions are in our guide on how to find adult games on itch.io.
Hidden by default. According to itch.io co-founder leafo, NSFW content only shows up if you seek it out directly or turn on NSFW browsing in your account settings. It is off by default. Community posts give the checkbox label as "Show content marked as adult in search & browse"; we couldn't confirm the exact wording because the settings page needs a login.
Age gates. Browsing 18+ itch.io games means passing a date-of-birth check: the NSFW browse page and individual adult game pages both show one, with an option to remember your answer in that browser.
What counts as "adult". itch.io defines adult NSFW content as a page marked "Contains sensitive material" plus an adult tag such as porn, mature, erotic, hentai or eroge.
What changed in 2025: the itch.io NSFW deindexing
On July 24, 2025, itch.io announced it had deindexed all adult NSFW content from its browse and search pages. It cited scrutiny from payment processors after the campaign group Collective Shout targeted Steam and itch.io over a game called "No Mercy". It also announced a content audit, said some pages would be permanently removed, and required NSFW creators to confirm their content meets payment processors' policies. A July 28 FAQ said Stripe payments for 18+ content were suspended "for the foreseeable future".
On July 31, 2025, itch.io began reindexing free adult content: pages with "No Payments" selected in their pricing became eligible to return to browse and search. Paid adult content was to be "re-introduced slowly", and itch.io said Stripe will not support "content designed for sexual gratification". A mandatory content-warnings system for NSFW pages was announced but not yet ready.
Where things stand in September 2026 is less clear. We found no newer official post about paid NSFW reindexing on itch.io's developer updates board. When we loaded the NSFW browse page logged out on September 30, 2026, it listed about 36 titles and only one showed a price. That is our observation, not an official statement, but it suggests the NSFW itch.io games you can browse are still mostly free ones.
The practical takeaway: deindexed pages still work and still appear in libraries and collections, so a paid game can be available even if browse never shows it. That is why every pick above links straight to its official page. Steam had its own payment-processor removals in July 2025 (press reported more than 100 adult titles). Our Steam vs itch.io comparison weighs the two side by side.
Buying and downloading porn games on itch.io
Free or paid, porn games on itch.io are sold by the creator, so a few habits keep the process safe.
Use the official page only. If downloads go to external hosts (as with Harem Hotel), take the link from the official page, never from a comment or mirror.
Refunds are not automatic. itch.io's terms offer refunds when a product doesn't work or doesn't match its description, with no general change-of-mind window, so try demos first.
Consider the itch app. The official desktop app keeps downloads in one place and can update installed games automatically.
For malware checks, file scanning and warning signs, read whether itch.io adult games are safe. If story is your main interest, Eternum, Once in a Lifetime and the City of Broken Dreamers sampler are the NSFW visual novels on itch.io we would start with, and our adult visual novels guide covers the genre across stores.
FAQ
Which free adult itch.io games are worth playing?
Yes. Eternum, Harem Hotel, Once in a Lifetime and A House in the Rift all have free public builds on their official itch.io pages, and City of Broken Dreamers offers its first four chapters as name-your-own-price. Some free games have newer paid or early-access versions elsewhere.
Why can't I find NSFW games on itch.io?
Adult content is hidden by default and has to be enabled in your account settings or searched for directly. Since July 2025, itch.io has also kept most adult content out of browse and search, reindexing free "No Payments" pages first. Paid games may still be missing from browse even though their pages work.
Are there adult RPG games on itch.io?
Fewer than you might expect among the big names. Karryn's Prison and Seeds of Chaos are the two RPGs on this list with official itch.io pages. The best-known text RPGs, such as Trials in Tainted Space, Lilith's Throne and Corruption of Champions II, are distributed from their developers' own sites (and Steam, for Corruption of Champions II) rather than itch.io. Our adult RPG list covers them.
How do I find safe adult games on itch.io?
Start from the developer's official itch.io page, as every pick above does, and ignore re-uploads. If a page sends you to an external download host, as Harem Hotel's does, use only the link on that official page, never one from a comment or a mirror. You can also scan a download with VirusTotal before running it; just don't upload private files, because results are shared with its security partners.
Is it better to buy adult games on itch.io or Steam?
It depends on the game. Some itch.io pages offer platforms Steam doesn't (Android for Treasure of Nadia, Linux and Android for Lust Epidemic), while Steam adds Cloud saves, achievements and a clearer refund policy.
Can I play these itch.io games on Android?
Eternum, Harem Hotel, Once in a Lifetime, A House in the Rift, Treasure of Nadia, Lust Epidemic, Innocent Witches, Taffy Tales Redux and Seeds of Chaos list Android on itch.io or offer an Android build. Karryn's Prison is Windows-only, and HARDCODED is desktop-only.
