What counts as an adult RPG
An RPG is a game where you build up a character or party over time (stats, gear, levels, companions) against challenges that test that build. The adult content sits on top, and what varies is how the two connect. In a weak adult RPG, fights are a toll booth in front of scenes. In the best erotic RPG games, scenes are consequences of how you play. Most games here fall into four styles:
Top-down adventure RPGs. The RPG Maker look: tile maps, quests, towns and dungeons. Among RPG Maker adult games, Karryn's Prison (built in RPG Maker MV) is the one on our ranked list, with full combat, and Monster Girl Quest! Paradox (RPG Maker VX Ace) is covered further down. NLT Media's games keep the exploring and questing but drop combat, so we label them RPG-like adventures.
Turn-based combat RPGs. Menu battles and progression systems. Karryn's Prison, Sakura Dungeon and Project QT each add a twist (management, dungeon crawling, puzzles).
Text-based RPGs. Fenoxo's school of design: mostly text, huge amounts of branching content, turn-based fights and heavy transformation. Corruption of Champions, its sequel, Trials in Tainted Space and Lilith's Throne all have free public builds.
Sci-fi RPGs. A setting more than a mechanic. Subverse (3D, fully voiced) and Trials in Tainted Space (text, planet-hopping) are about as far apart as two sci-fi RPGs can be.
If you want reading and choices with no stats to manage, you want a visual novel; see our guide to adult visual novels.
How we picked
We kept the verified games in our database whose playtime is mostly RPG systems, plus two adventures close enough that RPG fans ask about them, and ranked on three questions:
Combat depth. Do fights ask for decisions, or can you mash through? Tying adult content to combat outcomes scored higher when it creates real choices.
Exploration. Is there a world worth exploring, with secrets and places that open up?
Grind level. How much repetition sits between you and progress? Here we rely on community sentiment and say so.
We also weighed status, how easy the official version is to get, and content settings. Facts come from official pages and store listings, checked September 30, 2026. Opinions are ours.
No game here ties systems and adult content together as tightly. Every adult scene happens inside the battle system, and the Willpower and Desire stats decide whether Karryn resists or gives in. Passives change her behaviour permanently, and Edicts add a prison-management layer between fights.
The trade-off is pace. The developer openly warns it is not a game for quick gratification, and players often mention a steep learning curve and grinding to unlock content. Corruption and dubious consent are central themes, not side content; our Karryn's Prison review has the full content warning.
Best for
Players who want combat and management systems with real consequences, and who don't mind a slow burn.
The sequel takes the text-RPG formula and gives it structure: map-based exploration, quests, classes, gear and turn-based party combat with recruitable companions. That party layer is the big step up from the original. It's still very text-heavy, which players often say is the deciding factor.
It's made by Savin's Salamander Studios and published through Fenoxo's site, where a free public build runs in the browser. The paid Steam version is Early Access and includes the full adult content. Act 3 is in progress. Steam's content notes include sex after winning or losing fights and erotic "bad ends", so read them first.
Best for
RPG players who like reading and want companions, quests and party tactics rather than a pure text adventure.
Fenoxo's sci-fi RPG casts you as the heir to a galactic corporation, racing a rival cousin across newly opened planets. You explore grid maps of ships and planets, fight turn-based battles and gather a large crew. Over ten years of development have produced an enormous amount of content, if not much art.
Customization and transformation are central to how you play, and many fetishes can be toggled in the settings. Per community sentiment, it's sprawling and hard to follow for newcomers. Some content goes to backers before the free public build. More of Fenoxo's catalog is on our Fenoxo developer page.
Best for
Players who want a free, huge, open-ended sci-fi RPG and are happy to read a lot.
Subverse is the opposite of the text RPGs: fully animated 3D scenes, a fully voiced story the store puts at 20+ hours, and a mix of retro shoot 'em up space combat and ground missions. It has the highest production values here.
Opinion is split, though: the Steam rating is Mixed across 16,083 reviews, and it needs a GTX 1060-class card and a 40 GB install. It plays best if you like both shmups and light tactics; otherwise one half will drag. More in our full Subverse review.
Best for
Sci-fi fans with a capable Windows PC who want voice acting, animation and variety over depth.
Lilith's Throne is the pick for players whose first question is "how much can I customize?" Its body and transformation system is the most granular of any game here, and its content-preference settings are detailed enough to switch off much of what you don't want. You explore a demon-ruled alternate London on a tile map, with turn-based fights and a slavery and job-assignment layer.
It's free and open source, but it's still an alpha, and the developer says so ("contains bugs and half-finished content"). Players also mention long gaps between major updates. Mac and Linux players need Java and JavaFX installed.
Best for
Sandbox players who want maximum character control and fine-grained content settings, and who can live with alpha rough edges.
Seeds of Chaos is the most story-led entry on this list. It's a Ren'Py game that wraps CRPG-inspired systems around a branching dark fantasy plot: a former hero forced to serve the demons he once fought. You explore a world map, upgrade the demons' castle and decide whether Rowan stays heroic or falls.
It has been in Early Access since January 2020, but version 0.9.1 in August 2026 added a proper ending and epilogues, and 1.0 is described as close. Content warning: NTR, sexual violence, dubious consent and suicide are listed in Steam's content notes.
Best for
Players who come to RPGs for choices and consequences more than for combat.
RPG-like adventure, not a combat RPG. Treasure of Nadia plays from a top-down view with towns, dungeons, quest chains and item hunting, which is why RPG fans keep asking about it. There's no combat. Progress comes from selling artifacts to fund exploration and solving block-pushing puzzles in the Ancient Temple.
It's the bigger of NLT Media's two games here, and players rate it well (Very Positive from 6,564 Steam reviews). The common complaints are backtracking, item hunting and some puzzles that are hard without a guide. Our Treasure of Nadia verdict covers whether the puzzles carry it.
Best for
Players who enjoy the exploring and questing parts of RPGs and don't miss combat.
A retro first-person dungeon crawler: lead a party of up to six through multi-floor dungeons with traps, hidden rooms and bosses, and capture monster girls (50+ types) to build that party. Three difficulty settings, up to Abyssal, cater to veterans.
The catch is the Steam build: it's censored. Community guides say a free 18+ patch comes from Denpasoft, the publisher's adult storefront, but we couldn't reach that page to confirm it, so check before you buy.
Best for
Dungeon-crawler fans who want party building and difficulty options, on any desktop OS.
The game most text-based adult RPGs are measured against. You're a champion sent into a demon-overrun realm, exploring zones, fighting turn-based battles and managing a corruption stat that changes both your options and your ending. It's free and finished (version 1.0.2).
It shows its age. It's Flash, so on desktop you play in Fenoxo's in-window player or via Ruffle. Players often mention grindy combat and random encounters, and it has fewer content toggles than its sequel, with non-consensual encounters often tied to losing fights.
Best for
Players who want to see where the text RPG style started, for free, in a browser.
RPG-like adventure. NLT Media's earlier game set up the formula Treasure of Nadia later expanded: top-down exploration, item and clue hunting, environmental puzzles and relationships that grow through story events, with no combat. Here it's a mystery on a hurricane-bound campus.
It's smaller and older, with the same backtracking complaints. Tip: Steam also sells an unrelated game called "Lust Epidemic 18+" by a different developer, so check that the store page says NLT Media. For both NLT games in one place, see the NLT Media studio page.
Best for
Players who finished Treasure of Nadia and want a shorter game in the same style, with a mystery angle.
Project QT is the free-to-play entry: puzzle-based battles combined with turn-based team combat, with a roster of heroines you collect, level and evolve. It runs in a PC or mobile browser, or through Nutaku's Android APK.
It's a gacha game, with in-game purchases, and it needs a Nutaku account and an online connection. Players say it's grindy without spending. It's the easiest adult RPG to try without installing anything.
Best for
Short browser sessions and players who already enjoy collection RPGs.
Two well-known Japanese adult RPGs come up often in English-language discussions, and they are what many players mean by hentai RPG games, but neither has an official English release. Both are sold only in Japanese, and English play exists only through unofficial fan patches, which we don't link to. We list them for context only.
Kamidori Alchemy Meister (Eushully, 2011) mixes material gathering, alchemy workshop management and grid-based tactical battles. Monster Girl Quest! Paradox RPG (Torotoro Resistance, three parts from 2015 to 2024) is a long turn-based JRPG built in RPG Maker VX Ace, where you recruit monster girls through an affinity system. Players describe it as very long and grind-heavy, and its defeat-scene content is extreme by most standards.
Adult RPG games with character customization and open worlds
Two of the most searched features, and the verified options are concentrated in the text-based games.
Deepest character customization: Lilith's Throne, then Trials in Tainted Space, with both Corruption of Champions games close behind. In all of them, transformation is part of play, not just a creator screen.
Open world: If you want adult RPG games with an open world, Lilith's Throne and Trials in Tainted Space are the ones we'd describe that way: the main quest is one thread among many. Treasure of Nadia is more gated by puzzles and items.
Party and ship building: Subverse centres on ship upgrades and crew loyalty; Sakura Dungeon has 30+ equippable outfits.

Where to play NSFW and porn RPG games
The porn RPG games on this list come from three kinds of official source:
Free, in a browser or as a direct download: Corruption of Champions, the public builds of Corruption of Champions II and Trials in Tainted Space (all via Fenoxo's play page), Lilith's Throne (from its official blog) and Project QT (on Nutaku). More in our free adult games list.
Steam: These adult RPG games on Steam include their adult content in the Steam build: Karryn's Prison, Corruption of Champions II, Subverse, Seeds of Chaos, Treasure of Nadia and Lust Epidemic. Sakura Dungeon is the exception: its Steam version is censored. Our roundup of NSFW games you can buy on Steam covers patches and DLC.
itch.io: For adult RPG games on itch.io, look to Karryn's Prison, Seeds of Chaos and the two NLT Media adventures, all on their developers' official itch.io pages, which is where some Mac and Android builds live.
Stick to official channels; unofficial "unlocked" builds may be modified.
Content warnings and settings
In 18+ RPG games, losing a fight often triggers adult content, so check the store content notes and toggles first. Lilith's Throne and Trials in Tainted Space have the most settings to switch themes off. Karryn's Prison and Seeds of Chaos make corruption and dubious consent central, with no way around them. All characters in the games we cover are adults.
