Lilith's Throne Review

Lilith's Throne is a free, text-based adult RPG by Innoxia, set in an alternate London ruled by demons. It is written in Java, downloads from the official development blog for Windows, with a .jar file for Mac and Linux, and is still labelled an alpha at version 0.4.11.9 (September 2026).

Content note. This game is for adults only. It contains a wide range of fetish content, including body transformation, furry and anthropomorphic characters, slavery mechanics and non-consensual scenarios. Much of it can be switched off in the content settings, and we recommend going through them before you start.

In short

  • What it is: a sandbox text RPG with tile-map exploration, turn-based combat and one of the most detailed body and transformation systems in the genre.
  • Who it's for: players who want fine control over their character and over which content appears.
  • Price: free. Optional support through Innoxia's SubscribeStar.
  • Status and platforms: alpha, version 0.4.11.9. Windows .exe, plus a .jar for Mac and Linux that needs Java and JavaFX.
  • Big pro / big con: exceptional customization and content settings, but it is openly unfinished and Mac or Linux setup takes some work.

What is Lilith's Throne?

It is a text-based erotic RPG, to use the developer's own description on the blog. You are pulled from the real world into an alternate-reality London where the demon Lilith rules and most of the population are anthropomorphic "morphs". From the city of Dominion, you try to work out how you got there and what it has to do with your family.

The quick answers: it is free, it runs on Windows, Mac and Linux, and it is not finished. Innoxia's blog says so plainly on every release: "This is still an alpha, and contains bugs and half-finished content!"

The game is also open source. Innoxia keeps a public repository on GitHub, which is unusual in this genre.

Gameplay

You move across a tile map of the city and beyond, read what happens on each tile and choose actions from the menu. Encounters can lead to turn-based fights, conversations or adult scenes, and you build relationships with the characters you meet.

The key systems

  • Body and transformation: a very granular system that tracks your character's body in detail and lets items and events change it.
  • Inventory and clothing: items and outfits are part of the systems, not just decoration.
  • Turn-based combat: fights with the city's inhabitants, with stats and abilities.
  • NPC relationships: characters have their own personalities, and you build relationships with them over time.
  • Management layer: a slavery system lets you assign characters to jobs, which works as a side business inside the sandbox.

Content settings

This is the feature that sets the game apart from most of its peers. The detailed content-preference settings let you switch off much of the fetish content, so two players can end up with very different games. Given how broad the content is, treat the settings screen as the first step of your playthrough rather than an afterthought.

Story

The main quest ties together your family and the portal that brought you into this world. Around it, the city of Dominion and the areas beyond it work as a sandbox full of side stories.

New main-quest chapters and areas arrive in versioned releases. The September 2026 posts, for example, cover main-quest dialogue, encounters in the Shinrin Highlands and new youko characters. All characters are adults.

Main features

FeatureWhat to expect
FormatText RPG with a tile map and menu actions

Content settingsDetailed preferences; much of the fetish content can be switched off

Visual style

Like other games of its type, it is almost entirely text. The interface shows the scene text, your character's details and the map around you. Anyone expecting illustrated scenes should look at a visual novel instead; the appeal here is the depth of the writing and the systems behind it.

Platforms and the Lilith's Throne download

All official downloads are linked from Innoxia's development blog, in the post for each release. The files are hosted on Mega and Google Drive, but always follow the links from the blog post.

Lilith's Throne on Mac and Linux

There is no native Mac app. The blog says the .jar download exists "so that players on Linux or MacOS can get the game to run", and that you need both Java and JavaFX installed for it to work. That is the one real hurdle for non-Windows players. The blog points people who get stuck to the #tech-support channel on the game's Discord, and our Mac adult games guide covers the general first-launch issues.

Android, browser and Steam

  • No mobile or browser version: the blog offers only the .exe and .jar files.
  • Not on Steam: the developer lists no store release. The blog and the GitHub repository are the official sources.
  • Building it yourself: the blog notes that the latest code is kept on the GitHub dev branch for people who want to build it, with a tutorial linked from the post. Most players should simply use the release download.

Is Lilith's Throne free?

Yes. Every release is free to download, with no paid edition and no backer-only builds mentioned on the blog. Innoxia accepts optional support through SubscribeStar. It is one of the few long-running projects that is free in full, which is why it features among our best free adult games.

Is it safe to download?

We don't test or certify files. What we can say is where the official ones are: the download links in each release post on lilithsthrone.blogspot.com.

  • Start from the blog. Follow its Mega or Google Drive links, not search results for the file name.
  • Get Java and JavaFX from their official providers if you are on Mac or Linux, not from bundles.
  • Scan the archive before you unpack it. If you are unsure how to handle a zipped Windows game, our Windows install walkthrough helps.

Latest version and updates

The current release is version 0.4.11.9, posted on September 10, 2026. It is a hotfix on top of 0.4.11.6, which the blog says had three major bugs: a softlock when assigning slaves to some jobs, scenes that could become unresponsive, and NPC personalities being wiped when loading a save. The 0.4.11.8 and 0.4.11.9 hotfixes addressed them.

When is the next update?

The blog's September 25, 2026 post says version 0.4.11.10, with more Takahashi content and youko encounters, needs another week and is aimed at Friday, October 2. That kind of slip is typical: players often mention long gaps between major updates, and the blog updates its estimate as work goes on.

Saves between versions

The personality bug shows why it pays to keep backups of your saves. The 0.4.11.8 notes explain that the fix restores unique NPCs automatically, while random NPCs get regenerated personalities.

Pros

  • Extremely granular character and body customization
  • Detailed content-preference settings
  • Free, with no backer-only builds
  • Open source on GitHub
  • Runs on Windows, Mac and Linux

Cons

  • Still an alpha, with bugs and half-finished content by the developer's own account
  • Mac and Linux need Java and JavaFX installed manually
  • Long gaps between major updates (community sentiment)
  • No mobile or browser version

Final verdict

This is the text RPG for players who want control: over their character's body, over what content appears and even over the source code. The content settings make its very broad range of material far easier to shape than in most rivals. It is also an honest alpha with bugs, slow major updates and an awkward setup outside Windows. If that sounds manageable, it is one of the deepest free games in the genre. Compare it with Trials in Tainted Space and Corruption of Champions, see our adult RPG guide, or go back to the catalog.
