Crush Crush is Sad Panda Studios' free-to-play idle dating sim on Steam for Windows, Mac and Linux, first released in October 2016 and still running events in 2026. The base game is free and non-explicit. The adult mode is a separate paid DLC, the 18+ Naughty DLC, at $6.99 (regular price, September 2026).

In short
The Crush Crush game is developed and published by Sad Panda Studios, a small studio that also makes Blush Blush and Hush Hush. It launched on Steam on October 18, 2016 and calls itself "the Idle Dating Sim": you meet a cast of women after a string of awkward first encounters and try to win them over.
It is one of the most-reviewed games in the genre. Steam users rate it "Very Positive" across 28,568 reviews.
A quick orientation: the base game is suggestive and silly, not explicit. If you want the adult version, that is a paid add-on, covered in detail below.
This is an idle game at heart. Numbers go up while you are away, and you come back to spend them.

Sad Panda runs themed events every month with unique character rewards, and its Steam news in September 2026 showed a steady stream of new events and sales. Optional in-app purchases (premium diamonds and character bundles) speed things up.
Our take: as idle games go, it respects your time more than most. You can play for free, and the premium currency feels optional for a long while. The catch is the idle pacing itself: higher tiers take a long time, and the waiting is where the paid boosts start to look tempting.
There is no single plot; each character has her own short arc as the relationship tiers climb. The writing is the best thing about the game. It is warm, goofy and self-aware, and the store's examples give a sense of the range: a shy, studious college student, a cat lover, a skater with a sharp tongue, an artist, a gloomy goth and a troll who threatens your save.

The cast now numbers more than 70 characters, with over 150,000 words of fully voiced dialogue. All characters are adults. The humour stays on the playful side, with innuendo rather than anything explicit in the base game.
Everything is bright 2D cartoon art with a pastel interface. Menus are busy, since the whole screen is a control panel for jobs, hobbies and characters, but they are readable. Character art is clean and expressive, and new art arrives with every event.
Steam lists Windows, Mac and Linux, and the requirements are tiny: 2 GB of RAM and 2 GB of storage. Mac players get a native build, not a port.
The studio's website also links a Crush Crush Android app on Google Play. We have not checked what that version includes, so this review covers the Steam version.

Yes, the base game is free to download and play. The costs are the optional in-app purchases and the paid DLC. Here is the Crush Crush DLC on Steam at regular price, September 2026:
| DLC | Price | Released |
|---|---|---|
| 18+ Naughty DLC | $6.99 | Sep 26, 2018 |
| Kaiju Bundle | $14.99 | Jul 7, 2025 |
| Fuzzy Festival Event Bundle | $6.99 | Jan 15, 2026 |
| 10th Anniversary Artbook | $9.99 | Feb 9, 2026 |
| Lumi Bundle | $3.99 | Jul 14, 2026 |
Only the 18+ Naughty DLC changes the adult content. The bundles add characters or event content, and the artbook is just that.
Yes, from Steam or the links on the official Sad Panda Studios site. Because the adult mode is a paid DLC, it is a popular target for "free unlock" files on other sites. Avoid them: the official DLC is cheap, and an unknown file is not worth the risk. Our guide on Steam adult games and safety has more.
There is no single version number to quote. Instead, the studio posts new events and sales on Steam most weeks. In September 2026 alone its news feed announced several themed events and a diamond sale that ran from September 24 to 29. The newest DLC, the Lumi Bundle, arrived in July 2026.
No. The base game is free on Steam, with optional in-app purchases. Only the adult mode and some bundles cost money.
The Crush Crush Naughty DLC (full name "18+ Naughty DLC") is an official add-on ($6.99, regular price, September 2026) that installs an uncensored adult mode, new high-resolution artwork and two extra outfits. It came out on September 26, 2018.
No. The base game has suggestive humour and mild content only. Explicit illustrations come with the paid DLC.
Yes. Steam lists Windows, macOS and Linux.
The store promises themed events every month, and in practice the studio's Steam news posts new events and sales most weeks.
As a free game, it is easy to recommend: try it and see if the idle loop clicks. Buy the 18+ DLC only once you know you like it, and treat the premium currency as optional.
The Crush Crush idle dating sim is the friendliest way into the genre: free, funny, fully voiced and still growing after a decade. It is not an adult game out of the box, and the waiting and in-app purchases get more noticeable later on, but the paid 18+ DLC is official and cheap if you want that mode.
